About the Company
Adalat AI is building an end-to-end justice tech stack that automates manual and clerical pain points in courtrooms, giving judges back time to focus on what matters most: decision-making and delivering justice. Our solutions - from AI-powered transcription in Indian languages to case-flow management and document navigation - are now deployed across 9 states, covering nearly 20% of India’s judiciary. Backed by leading technology companies and funders, and incubated at MIT and Oxford, Adalat AI is working to eliminate judicial delays and expand access to timely justice. Founded by a team with backgrounds in law, technology, and economics from Harvard, Oxford, MIT, and IIIT Hyderabad, we are scaling rapidly across India and the Global South.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Marketing Intern to work directly with the founder's office, owning two critical communication channels that shape how stakeholders understand Adalat AI's impact.
You'll craft targeted newsletters for three distinct audiences - donors tracking judicial reform outcomes, technical partners integrating our systems, and judges using our platform daily. Each requires a different voice and metrics, but the same strategic excellence.
You'll also produce regional activity reports that transform platform data into compelling narratives -turning adoption rates, case processing improvements, and usage patterns into stories that demonstrate real judicial transformation.
This isn't typical marketing - it's strategic communication at the intersection of legal tech and public service. Your work lands directly with senior judges, institutional funders, and policy makers. Every data point you highlight, every narrative you craft is designed to move decision-makers and shift perceptions.
Behind each newsletter and report is thoughtful, intentional communication that doesn't just land, but sticks. Precision and strategic clarity matter deeply here - these materials shape outcomes, not just inform.
This role has a potential to convert into full time basis performance.

Own end-to-end creation of newsletters and communications that translate complex judicial-tech work into compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders
Design presentations and decks using Canva and other tools that command attention and move decisions forward
Build reports and strategic briefs that transform data and insights into clarity, making the complex simple and the important unmissable
Create visual content that doesn't just inform but persuades - graphics, infographics, and assets designed to make ideas stick
Ensure every word, every slide, every visual maintains the quality and precision our mission demands
Analytics & Insights
Use Mixpanel to track usage metrics and build reports that drive content strategy
Translate engagement data into actionable insights that optimise how we communicate and what resonates with different audiences
Strategic Support
Collaborate with teams across the organisation to gather insights and develop compelling narratives
Research industry trends and best practices to inform content approach
Maintain cadence and documentation to keep communications organised and on track
Support communication needs as they arise in a dynamic startup environment
About You
Ownership & Initiative: You see what needs to happen and make it happen. When you own it, it gets done right.
Strategic Thinker First, Designer Second: You understand that design is a strategic tool, not decoration. Every visual choice serves the message.
Communication Excellence: Exceptional written skills with experience in formal, professional correspondence - ideally with government officials or institutional stakeholders.
Design & Presentation Skills: Strong eye for visual hierarchy. You turn complex data into polished presentations that command attention. Proficiency in Canva and other presentation tools required; Adobe Creative Suite/Figma is a plus.
Relentless Attention to Detail: Small errors undermine big ideas. Precision is your standard, not your exception.
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable translating metrics into insights. Experience with analytics platforms like Mixpanel is a bonus.
