Role Overview

We're hiring a Senior Fullstack Developer to lead and deliver end-to-end features at Adalat AI. You'll work across the stack on real-time audio playback, backend services, and database design — while setting the technical direction for how we build. You'll mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and raise the bar for quality and speed across a small team of elite builders shipping impactful features fast.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of complex, production-grade features spanning Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Go, and Postgres.
Own architectural decisions — from database schema design to React component APIs — with a focus on long-term maintainability.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and design discussions.
Collaborate closely with design, legal, and product teams to translate ambiguous requirements into polished, reliable features.
Set and uphold engineering standards: unit tests, linters, end-to-end tests, performance benchmarks, and accessibility.
Proactively identify technical debt, prototype improvements, and champion initiatives that make the platform faster and more resilient.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience working on production JavaScript/TypeScript codebases.
Demonstrated track record of leading and shipping complex features end-to-end, including driving alignment across teams.
Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture; experience building and evolving design systems.
Strong proficiency with Go backend services and Postgres, including schema design, query optimisation, and migrations.
Experience mentoring engineers and raising team-wide engineering quality.
Sharp instinct for reducing user pain and improving speed and accessibility in high-stakes, real-world environments.

Bonus

Familiarity with GraphQL or other API design patterns at scale.
Prior experience working in a legal domain.
